Overview
The RDS 165G #3/8 "Gap Applicator rod is a professional Spreader tool based on the Mayer Rod film principle for film preparation of high viscosity fluids. The product is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 9.52mm, a total length of 400mm, an application width of 300mm, and is capable of providing a wet film thickness of 377.2μm.
Features
1. Adopt gap wire-wound production process to reduce the blockage phenomenon of high viscosity fluid Spreader
2. Eliminate scratches and improve coating flow with smaller wire spacing winding design
3. Wide and shallow cavity structure promotes uniform flow of thick coatings
4. Stainless Steel Ensures Durability and Stability
5. Smaller wire design reduces coating flow interruption and improves wetting effect
Principle
The Applicator rod follows the Mayer Rod film principle to create a wide shallow cavity structure by wrapping smaller wires at a specific spacing. This design allows high viscosity fluids to flow better when Spreader, and smaller wires produce less flow interruption, ensuring that the coating wetting the substrate surface more completely.
Applications
High Viscosity Fluid Spreader, Laboratory film preparation, Coating test, coating research
Steps
1. Prepare high viscosity fluid samples for Spreader
2. Applicator rod smoothly placed on the substrate surface
3. Spreader Applicator rod at uniform speed
4. Clean Applicator rod after Spreader
Notice
• Applicator rod surface clean and free of contamination before use
• Maintain uniform speed during Spreader
• Clean in time after use to prevent fluid residue
• Avoid violent collisions or bending to maintain Applicator rod accuracy
• Only suitable for high viscosity fluids within the design specification range
