Overview
The LANDTEK CM8825n Handheld Thickness Meter is an all-in-one Sensor Handheld Coating thickness measurement instrument that uses the eddy Current thickness measurement principle to measure the thickness of nonconductive coatings on non-ferrous metal surfaces. The instrument is operated by Keypad Operation, and the panel has seven operation buttons. The measurement finger grip part is designed to sinkage to prevent hand slippage and ensure stable measurement.
Features
1. Single and continuous Measurement modes are available.
2. Metric/imperial unit conversion function.
3. With functions such as manual shutdown, automatic shutdown and undervoltage prompt.
4. Automatically remember the calibrated value and automatically identify the material of the tested substrate.
5. There is a buzzer prompt tone during operation, and the buzzer does not sound during continuous measurement.
6. Use USB data cable output, RS-232C data cable and software to communicate with PC.
7. Optional configuration Bluetooth Bluetooth ™ data output.
8. The integrated instrument is suitable for one-handed operation, with a large Probe and a large contact surface, ensuring accurate results and strong Repeatability.
Principle
The handheld thickness meter adopts the principle of eddy Current thickness measurement, and measures the thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the non-ferrous metal substrate through eddy current Sensor, which is suitable for coating measurement on copper, aluminum, zinc, tin and other substrates.
Applications
Manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other testing fields
Steps
1. Turn on the instrument power.
2. Select Single or Continuous Measurement mode.
3. Place the Probe on the surface of the coating to be tested.
4. Read the thickness data on the display screen.
5. You can choose to use USB, RS-232C or Bluetooth to communicate with the PC to transfer data.
Notice
Make sure the substrate is a non-ferrous metal and the coating is a non-conductive material.
* Probe stable during measurement to avoid hand sliding.
* Operating temperature range is 0~ 40 ℃, relative humidity is 10~ 90% RH.
* Regularly check the battery voltage to avoid low voltage affecting Measurement accuracy.
* Use the pre-calibrating instrument to ensure that the reference block and calibrating diaphragm are in good condition.
