Principle
The CTG-800-3000F Coating thickness gauge works based on the principle of magnetic Induction thickness measurement and detects the nonmagnetic Coating thickness on a magnetic substrate through a probe. The instrument can quickly and automatically identify the substrate type, and uses a spring guide sleeve probe to maintain a constant pressing force during measurement to ensure stable sampling values, so as to achieve non-destructive and precise Film thickness measurement.

Steps
Install two AA batteries as a power source.
2. Open the instrument and select Measurement mode (single measurement or continuous measurement).
3. Touch the probe lightly on the surface to be tested to ensure that the probe is perpendicular to the surface.
4. Read the Film thickness value displayed on the LCD dot matrix LCD screen.
5. Switch between μm or mil units using the metric-to-metric unit conversion function as required.
6. After the measurement is completed, you can choose to shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown.
Notice
• Operating temperature of the instrument is -10-50 ℃, the relative humidity should be less than 80%, avoid using in an environment beyond the range.
• Make sure the probe is perpendicular to the surface during measurement for accurate results.
• For hard or rough surface measurement, the probe can maintain a stable compression force, but still requires a touch operation.
• The instrument is resistant to high and low temperatures and drops, but severe impacts should be avoided to prolong the service life.
• Probe wear more than 500,000 times, but check the abrasion regularly.
• Shut down in time after use to save power, or take advantage of the automatic shutdown function.
