Overview
The SHUCHANG SC-MI-B Melt index meter is an instrument for measuring the flow performance of plasticity polymers at high temperatures. It is designed according to GB3682-2000 standard. It is suitable for the melt flow rate determination of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyformaldehyde, ABS Resin, polycarbonic acid ester, nylon fluoroplastics and other polymers, and is widely used in the production and research of factories, enterprises and R & D institutions.
Features
1. Adopt single-chip microcomputer to adjust power and temperature control mode, with strong anti-interference ability, high temperature control accuracy and stable control.
2. The heating wire is wound regularly, and the temperature layer is minimized to meet the standard requirements.
3. Provide eight standard test forces, ranging from 0.325kg to 21.600kg, covering a variety of testing requirements.
4. Compact structure, composed of a heating furnace and a temperature control system, installed on the fuselage base.
Principle
Melt index meter is an extrusion plastic meter that melts the measured material through a high temperature heating furnace at a specified temperature. The melt is extruded through a small hole under weighted gravity, and is converted into a 10-minute extrusion amount according to the average weight of the extrudate. The melt index is used to express the physical properties such as flowability and viscosity of polymer materials in the molten state.
Applications
Factory enterprises, R & D institutions
Steps
1. Set the heating furnace to the specified temperature to melt the measured object.
2. Select the appropriate weight level to apply the load.
3. The melt is extruded through a small hole and the extrudate is collected.
4. Weigh the extrudate and calculate the extrusion for 10 minutes to determine the melt index.
Notice
• Power supply voltage is 220V +/- 10% and frequency is 50Hz.
• Operating environment temperature should be 10 ℃ -40 ℃, relative humidity 30% -80%.
• Check the weight mass error before use not more than 0.5%.
• Follow the standard test force level selection to avoid overloading.
• Regularly calibrate the instrument to ensure temperature control accuracy +/- 0.5 ℃.
