Overview
UK Thermax Irreversible Thermometric Paper (Model 4 Grid G) is a series of temperature test labels that record the highest temperature reached by the label. These self-adhesive Thermometric Papers are composed of temperature-sensitive elements, sealed between heat-resistant substrates with transparent windows, each element irreversibly changes Color when the rated temperature is exceeded, providing a temperature history of the monitored surface and can be attached as a reference in inspection reports.
Features
1. Long-term record of reaching the highest temperature
2. Self-adhesive labels
3. Silver to Black Color Variation
4. Immediate Response
5. Resistant to oil, water and steam
6. High Accuracy: +/- 1 ° C below 100 ° C; +/- 1.5 ° C from 100 ° C to 154 ° C; +/- 4 ° C above 154 ° C
Principle
Thermometric Paper uses the precise melting points of a series of specially purified organic chemicals to produce Color Changes. Each temperature point uses a different compound, a coating applied to a special absorbent paper substrate, and when the rated temperature is exceeded, the chemical melts and is absorbed by the substrate, resulting in irreversible Color Changes.
Applications
Temperature monitoring, industrial inspection, quality control
Steps
1. Paste the Self-Adhesive Thermometric Paper onto the monitored surface
2. Observe the Color Change of Temperature Sensitive Components
3. Record the highest temperature reached
4. Remove the label and attach it to the inspection report as a record
Notice
• Products at 50 ° C or below should be stored in a sealing bag in the refrigerator
• Products above 50 ° C should be stored at room temperature and humidity (i.e. 20 ° C/68 ° F, 50% relative humidity)
• Color change is an irreversible process
• Make sure that the label is not delaminated when removed
