Overview
UK Thermax Irreversible Thermometric Paper is a series of temperature test labels that record the highest temperature reached by the label. These self-adhesive Thermometric Papers are composed of a series of temperature-sensitive components, sealed between heat-resistant substrates with transparent windows. Each component changes Color significantly when it exceeds the rated temperature. The change is irreversible, providing a temperature history of the monitored surface.
Features
1. Long-term record of reaching the highest temperature
2. Self-adhesive labels
3. Silver to Black Color Variation
4. Immediate Response
5. Resistant to oil, water and steam
6. Accuracy: Below 100 ° C is +/- 1 ° C; 100 ° C to 154 ° C is +/- 1.5 ° C; above 154 ° C is +/- 4 ° C
Principle
The temperature sensitive element is a color change indicator that utilizes the precise melting points of a series of specially purified organic chemicals to produce a unique, High Accuracy Color Change effect. Each temperature point uses a different compound, manufactured individually by applying a coating containing the chemical to a special absorbent paper substrate. When the rated temperature is exceeded, the chemical melts and is absorbed by the substrate, resulting in an irreversible Color Change.
Applications
Temperature monitoring, industrial testing, equipment maintenance
Steps
1. Choose the Right Type of Thermometric Paper
2. Paste the self-adhesive label on the monitored surface
3. Observe the Color Change of Temperature Sensitive Components
4. Record the highest temperature reached
5. Remove the label and attach it to the inspection report as a record
Notice
• Products 50 ° C or below: sealed bags stored in the refrigerator
• Products above 50 ° C: Store at room temperature and humidity (i.e. 20 ° C/68 ° C, 50% relative humidity)
• Color change is an irreversible process
• It will not be delaminated when removed for reference
