Overview
PUSHEN XB-50um Mayer Rods is a laboratory bar for preparing wet-film. It uses the groove formed by the winding of stainless steel wire on its surface to control the wet film thickness. It can be used to control the wet film thickness of 50 microns. The product is widely used in plastics, inks and other industries, and the stainless steel material has a longer service life.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. Spreaders wet film thickness engraved at the end of XB bar
3. The most satisfactory effect for soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products
4. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
Principle
The laboratory bar is made of stainless steel wire wound on its surface to form grooves, which can be prepared with wet-film of different wet film thicknesses, which is suitable for the preparation of inks films. Wire of different diameters is wrapped around a certain length of stainless steel steel rod, and the gap between the wires is used to prepare films of different thicknesses.
Applications
Plastics, inks, paints, varnishes, inks, glues
Steps
1. According to the wet film thickness = Coating Weight g/(density × Solid content%) formula for coating rod selection
2. Spreader operation on the substrate surface using bar
3. The groove formed by the winding of stainless steel wire controls the wet film thickness to 50 microns
Notice
• The wet film thickness calculation formula is for reference only. The actual wet film thickness is also affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
• Samples need to be uniform, comparable, and precise thickness control to ensure Reliability of test results
