Overview
PUSHEN XB-II 150μm Mayer Rods is a laboratory wire-wound Spreader tool made of stainless steel, with a total length of 400mm and an effective application width of 300mm. It can be prepared with a wet film thickness of 150 microns. Widely used in plastics, inks, Coatings, Paints, plastics and other industries, it has the characteristics of long service life.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings, such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. The most satisfactory effect for soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, foil, leather, test cardboard, Spinning & weaving products
3. Rod and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel
4. The wet film thickness is directly engraved on the end of the coating rod for easy identification
Principle
The lab bar uses stainless steel wires to wrap around its surface to form grooves, and controls the wet film thickness through the gap between the wires. Wire of different diameters is wrapped around a certain length of stainless steel bars to prepare films of different thicknesses to ensure uniform, comparable samples and accurate thickness control.
Applications
Plastics, inks, Coatings, Paints, Plastics, paints, varnishes, inks, glues
Steps
1. Choose the appropriate coating rod type according to the required wet film thickness
2. Spreader the coating rod onto the substrate
3. Uniformly push the coating rod to complete the Spreader process
4. Check whether the wet film thickness meets the requirements
Notice
• The calculation formula of wet film thickness is for reference only. The actual thickness is affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
• Spreader should ensure that the substrate surface is clean and flat
• Clean the coating rod in time after use to avoid residues affecting the next use effect
