Overview
The TR 1010/1 coating -4 cup is a portable viscosity testing instrument of the TRUIT brand, made of brass material, with a capacity of 100 +/- 1ml. The product is designed in accordance with GB/T 1723 standard and is suitable for viscosity testing in laboratories. It is mainly used for the measurement of the viscosity of products with an outflow time of less than 150 seconds. The viscosity is expressed by the measurement of the time (seconds) required for the sample to flow out of the specified aperture at a certain temperature.

Principle
The viscosity is determined by measuring the time (seconds) required for a certain amount of specimen to flow out of a specified pore size (4mm) at a certain temperature. According to the measured outflow time t (seconds), it is converted into a kinematic viscosity value (mm ²/s) using a specific formula: when t < 23s, t = 0.154 μ + 11; when 23s ≤ t 150s, t = 0.223 μ + 6.0.

Steps
1. Prepare the sample and ensure that the temperature is constant
2. Pour the sample into the coating-4 cup to a 100ml capacity
3. Record the time required for the sample to completely flow out of the 4mm flow hole (seconds)
4. According to the outflow time t value, use the corresponding formula to calculate the kinematic viscosity value
Notice
• Only applicable to samples with outflow time of less than 150 seconds
• Make sure the sample temperature is constant before use
• Note that the diameter error of the flow hole is +/- 0.2mm
• Convert viscosity strictly according to the formula
• Keep the instrument clean to avoid clogging the flow hole
