Overview
PUSHEN XB-II 30μm Mayer Rods is a laboratory wire-wound Spreader tool, which can be used to control the wet film thickness by winding stainless steel wires to form grooves, and can be prepared for 30 μm wet-film. The total length is 400mm, the effective application width is 300mm, and it is made of stainless steel. It is widely used in plastics, inks and other industries.
Features
1. Ideal for Spreader thin coatings such as can Coatings and paper Coatings
2. The wet film thickness is directly engraved on the end of the bar for easy identification
3. Spreaders for soft materials such as paper, Cardboard, Foil, Leather, Test Cardboard, Spinning & weaving
4. The rod body and winding are made of high-grade wear-resistant stainless steel, which has a long service life
Principle
The lab bar uses stainless steel wire to wrap around the surface to form grooves, and controls the thickness of the Spreader through the gap between the wires, which can be used to prepare uniform films of different wet film thicknesses. Suitable for the preparation of inks films to ensure accurate sample thickness control.
Applications
Paints, varnishes, inks, glues, plastics
Steps
1. Choose the right model of Mayer Rods according to your needs.
2. Coating Spreader evenly on the substrate surface
3. Use bar to scrape smoothly along the surface of the substrate
4. Wet-film of desired thickness is formed by wire gap control
Notice
• The calculation formula of wet film thickness is for reference only. The actual thickness is affected by various factors such as product ductility, viscosity, coating rod type, etc
• Spreader samples need to be uniform and comparable, and thickness control is accurate to ensure test Reliability
