Overview
Webster Hardness Tester (Model W-20a) is an instrument for rapid testing of aluminum alloy Hardness in production sites, which can inspect the mechanical properties of aluminum alloy profiles. It is easy to use, and can directly read the Hardness value with one card, which is efficient and Reliability is good. The product complies with the Chinese Nonferrous Metal Standard YS/T420-2000 and the American Standard ASTM B647-84 (2000), and is suitable for workpiece Film thickness 0.4~ 13mm, inner diameter > 10mm, Hardness range 25~ 110HRE.
Features
1. Wechsler Hardness Easy Detection, Measurement;
2. Through anodic oxidation treatment, wear-resistant and rust-free, comfortable feel;
3. Detect a variety of metals, Hardness detection has a wide range of applications;
4. Mechanical design, compression spring device, not easy to damage;
5. High toughness surface window glass, Impact is not easy to damage;
6. Clear scale and accurate measurement;
7. Simple to use, handheld design, easy to carry.
8. Conversion is convenient, and Hardness values such as Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, and Wechsler can be obtained through the conversion table.
Principle
The Webster Hardness Tester is mechanically designed to read the Hardness value directly by applying pressure on the workpiece through a compression spring device. It is suitable for rapid, non-Destructiveness testing, and is particularly suitable for on-site Hardness testing of aluminum alloys.
Applications
Hardness Testing of Aluminum Alloy Profiles, Pipes, Sheets, Aluminum Parts and Miscellaneous Soft Metals
Standards
YS/T420-2000、ASTM B647-84(2000)、ASTM B647-10、YS/T420-2000、JJG944-1999、JJG944-2013
Steps
1. Card the hardness gauge on the workpiece;
2. Directly read the Hardness value.
Notice
* Ensure that the size of the workpiece meets the requirements: Film thickness 0.4~ 13mm, inner diameter > 10mm;
* Applicable only to aluminum alloys and Miscellaneous softer metals;
Check the integrity of the instrument before use to avoid damage.
Periodically calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy;
* Avoid use in extreme environments to prevent accuracy.
