Overview
American RDS #8 Mayer Rods is a precision Spreader tool made of stainless steel, with wire-wound drawdown bar and forming rod. The model is a 1/4 "diameter wire-wound drawdown bar, with a total length of 400mm, an application width of 300mm, and a 50mm hand grip at each end. It can be prepared with a wet film thickness of 18.3 microns.
Features
1. Made of 303 stainless steel, with wear resistance and corrosion resistance
2. The wet film thickness of the same type of coating applicator is the same to ensure Spreader conformity
3. Provide wide-wound drawdown bar and molding rod two process options
4. Wire-wound drawdown bar is available in 1/2 ", 3/8" and 1/4 "diameter specifications
Principle
RDS Mayer Rods uses a stainless steel wire-wound structure to evenly scrape the surface of the substrate. As the coating applicator moves across the substrate, the wire-wound gap controls the Coating Flow rate, resulting in a precise thickness wet-film coating.
Applications
Coating inks, Resin, Plastics, Pressure sensitive adhesives
