ROSS folding tester is a kind of testing equipment used to test the durability and performance of materials, products or components during bending or folding. It is specially designed for right-angle folding test of Rubber, sole, PU and other materials. After the test piece is continuously stretched and bent by the machine, its attenuation, damage and checking degree can be inspected.

Principle
By continuously stretching and bending the test piece, the folding process of the material in actual use is simulated to test its durability. The device folds at a set speed (100 +/- 3cpm) and angle (maximum 90 °), and the counter records the number of folds to finally check the degree of attenuation, damage and checking of the test piece.

Steps
1. Prepare the test piece, the size is 6 inches in length and 1 inch in width, and the Film thickness is adjusted according to the material type (0.25 inch sole, 1/2 inch to 1/8 inch rubber)
2. Install the test piece on the fixture to ensure that it is firmly fixed
3. Set the folding angle to the desired value (up to 90 °) and the folding speed to 100 +/- 3cpm
4. Start the device and start the folding test
5. Monitor the number of folds through the LCD counter until the preset value is reached or the specimen is significantly damaged
6. Stop the device, take out the test piece, check the degree of attenuation, damage and checking
Notice
• Ensure that the power supply is single-phase AC220V to avoid voltage mismatch
• The test piece should be firmly fixed during installation to prevent peeling during the test
• Regularly check the operating status of the equipment to ensure accurate folding speed and angle
• Pay attention to safety during testing and avoid contact with moving parts
