Overview
American RDS #8 Mayer Rods is a professional film tool, model 8 #1/2 ", with two processes of wire-wound drawdown bar and forming rod. The Applicator rod diameter is 12.7mm, the total length is 400mm, the application width is 300mm, and the two ends have 50mm hand-held parts. It is made of 303 stainless steel and has wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Principle
RDS Mayer Rods forms a uniform Spreader layer on the surface of the substrate through precision wound stainless steel wire, the diameter of the wire is 0.20mm. When the coating applicator moves on the surface of the substrate, the wound wire controls the thickness of the Spreader liquid, ensuring that each Spreader can obtain an accurate wet film thickness of 18.3 microns.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate RDS Mayer Rods model
2. Coating evenly on one end of the substrate
3. Handheld coating applicator 50mm at both ends
4. Smooth movement of the coating applicator on the substrate surface at constant speed and pressure
5. Spreader the coating applicator
