Overview
The CT150 Coating thickness gauge is an instrument for measuring the film thickness of coatings or coatings on the surface of substrates. It is widely used in the industrial field to ensure the mass, conformity and compliance of coatings. The instrument can measure various coatings, including paints, platings, coatings, Eletroplating, thermal spraying, etc.
Features
1. Using magnetic and eddy current two thickness measurement methods, it can not only measure the film thickness of the nonmagnetic coating layer on the magnetic metal substrate, but also measure the film thickness of the nonconductive coating layer on the nonmagnetic metal substrate
2. Split design, Sensor and instrument are connected by leads, dual-use type (F type and N type in one)
3. There are two measurement methods: continuous measurement method and single measurement method
4. With statistical functions, including average, MAX Maximum, MIN Minimum, number of tests and standard deviation
5. With storage function, it can store 500 measurement values
Principle
The CT150 Coating thickness gauge works based on the principles of magnetic Induction and eddy Current. F-type probes use the principle of magnetic Induction to measure the film thickness of nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates; N-type probes use the principle of eddy Current to measure the film thickness of nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic metal substrates.

Steps
1. Select F or N probes according to measurement requirements
2. Select the measurement method: continuous measurement method or single measurement method
3. Place the probe on the surface of the coating to be tested for measurement
4. Read measurement results, optionally view statistics
5. Store measurement data when necessary
Notice
• Choose the correct probe type (F type or N type) according to the base material before measurement
• Pay attention to the minimum radius of curvature requirements: F-shaped convex surface 1.5mm, N-shaped convex surface 3mm
• Note the minimum measurement area diameter: F type φ 7mm, N type φ 5mm
Film thickness: F type 0.5mm, N type 0.3mm
• Ensure working voltage using 3x1.5V AAA alkaline batteries
• Error range to be considered when measuring: +/- 3%
