Overview
American RDS #7 Mayer Rods is a 1/4 inch wide-wound Applicator rod, which is processed by winding steel wire process and is specially used for Spreader 16 micron precision film thickness Coating and inks sample preparation. As an original imported product from the United States, with 80 years of industry experience, its craftsmanship and quality are excellent, and it is favored by users with ultra-high wet-film scale accuracy and high-quality bar.
Features
1. Accurate wet film thickness control: Provide 16 micron accurate film thickness Spreader.
2. High-quality material: made of stainless steel, with strong durability.
3. Professional craftsmanship: Wire-wound production process to ensure Spreader uniformity.
4. Original imported: Made in the United States, reliable quality.
5. Wide applicability: Widely used in the coatings and inks industries.
Principle
The Applicator rod forms a uniform wire-like structure by winding the steel wire, and when rolling on the substrate, the steel wire gap controls the Coating Weight of the Coating or inks, achieving an accurate Spreader of 16 micron wet film thickness, ensuring sample prepative conformity and Repeatability.
Applications
Coatings, inks
Steps
1. Prepare Coating or inks samples and substrates.
2. Applicator rod is placed at the starting end of the substrate.
3. Apply pressure evenly and roll the Applicator rod smoothly to the end.
4. Clean Applicator rod after Spreader for next use.
Notice
• Applicator rods and substrates are clean and free of contamination before use.
• Spreaders maintain uniform pressure and speed to avoid uneven film thickness.
• Clean immediately after use to prevent Coating residues from affecting accuracy.
• Avoid collision or bending when storing, keeping the bar structure intact.
