Overview
AW-BB75 + Webster Hardness Tester is a Portable hardness testing instrument under the AMITTARI brand, designed for rapid on-site testing of hardness of soft brass, red copper and other materials. The instrument is easy to operate, simply snap the sample into it to directly read the hardness value, suitable for rapid, non-destructive piece-by-piece qualification inspection of batches of products, especially suitable for production, sales or construction site use.
Features
1. New materials and new technology are used to manufacture the pressing needle, with high hardness, long life and good interchangeability.
2. The handle is made of forged material, and the surface is treated with anodic oxidation, which is beautiful, wear-resistant and pollution-resistant.
3. Equipped with standard hardness blocks tested by standard hardness machines to ensure accurate measurement benchmarks.
4. Parts processing is fine, the whole machine assembly precision, after strict mass inspection, high quality.
5. Good instrument stability, full point and correction point stable and reliable.
6. Wechsler hardness value can be easily converted into Vickers, Rockwell, Brinell and other hardness values.
Principle
Webster Hardness Tester is based on a certain shape of hard steel pins, which are pressed into the surface of the sample under the action of standard spring test force, and the hardness of the material is characterized by the measurement of the indentation depth of the pins. The shallower the indentation depth, the higher the hardness of materials, and the instrument converts the depth into hardness value through mechanical structure and displays it directly.
Applications
Rapid testing of hardness of soft metal materials such as brass and copper
Steps
1. Ensure that the film thickness of the sample is between 0.6-6 mm and the inner diameter is greater than 10mm.
2. Open the hardness gauge handle completely.
3. Place the sample smoothly so that the test site is aligned with the crimp.
4. Card the hardness gauge on the sample so that the crimp is pressed vertically into the surface of the sample.
5. When the hands are stable, read the Wechsler hardness value directly from the dial.
Notice
• This model (AW-BB75 +) is designed for soft brass and copper, please do not use for Miscellaneous materials.
• Before testing, confirm that it meets the instrument requirements according to the sample Film thickness (0.6-6 mm) and inner diameter (> 10mm).
• Before use, it is recommended to calibrate the instrument with a standard hardness block to ensure measurement accuracy.
• During testing, ensure that the sample is placed smoothly and the crimp is pressed vertically to avoid reading errors due to tilt.
• Keep the needle and anvil clean to avoid contaminants affecting the test results.
• The instrument is a precision measurement tool, please handle it with care to avoid violent impact.
• Wechsler hardness values can be converted, but refer to the corresponding conversion table or formula.
