Overview
The US RDS #34 Mayer Rods is a 1/4 inch molded Applicator rod for preparing 77.7μm thick wet-film. The product adopts fine craftsmanship, the preparatory film has good flatness and reproducibility, the film is very uniform, and the accuracy reaches 0.1 micron. In addition to the #34 rod, RDS Mayer Rods also provides more than 80 model options, corresponding to different wet film thicknesses, and divided into wire-wound and formed to suit different user habits. At the same time, it can provide customized services for special industry users.
Features
1.Accurate wet film thickness of 77.7μm, film accuracy of 0.1 micron
2. The film has good flatness and reproducibility, very uniform
3. Provide more than 80 models to choose from, covering different wet film thickness requirements
4. Divided into wire-wound and formed to adapt to different user operating habits
5. Support bar customization services for special industry users
6. Made of stainless steel, strong durability
Principle
RDS Mayer Rods is formed to precisely control the wet film thickness during the Spreader process. When used, the bar rolls or scrapes on the surface of the substrate to form a uniform wet-film layer. Its fine wire diameter and structural design ensure film thickness conformity and High Accuracy.
Applications
Coating Spreaders, laboratory research, quality control, surface preparation
Steps
1. Prepare Substrate and Coatings for Spreader
2. Select RDS #34 Mayer Rods to ensure cleanliness and pollution-free
3. Place the bar at one end of the substrate and apply the pressure evenly
4. Move the bar smoothly in a straight line to complete the Spreader
5. Check wet film thickness and flatness, if necessary, repeability operation
Notice
• Make sure the bar surface is clean before use to avoid impurities affecting the film mass
• Spreaders maintain uniform pressure and speed to ensure consistent film thickness
• Avoid bar collision with hard objects to prevent damage to wire diameter structure
• Clean the bar immediately after use to prevent Coating residue
• Only applicable to the specified wet film thickness range, do not use beyond the range
