Principle
Pencil hardness tester is based on the principle of coating scratch hardness testing of pencils, using a set of pencils of different grades of Hardness, at a 45-degree angle to the surface of the object, scratching on the surface of the object under the constant force of 7.5N, and then evaluating whether the coating is damaged through Optical inspection.

Steps
Step 1 Release the bottom knob
2. Remove the original weight
Step 3 Add new weight
4. Tighten the knob to fix the weight
