Overview
The AR3126 high voltage insulation resistance meter is a megohmmeter or high resistance meter under the SMART SENSOR brand. It is widely used for the measurement of insulation resistance of generators, motors, power transformers, wiring, appliances and other electrical installations. It is often used in routine maintenance procedures to indicate changes in motor insulation resistance over time, help predict potential failures, and requires periodic calibrations to ensure meter accuracy.

Principle
The high voltage insulation resistance meter calculates the insulation resistance value by applying a high voltage DC voltage (e.g. 500V to 5000V) to the electrical equipment under test to measure the leakage current flowing through the insulating material. It uses internal circuitry and Sensors to detect resistance changes and displays the results via LCD to evaluate insulation performance.

Steps
1. Connect the tested equipment with the high voltage insulation resistance meter
Select the appropriate output voltage level (e.g. 500V, 1000V, 2500V, or 5000V)
3. Power on and start measurement
4. Read the insulation resistance value displayed by the LCD
5. If necessary, use USB to transfer data or calculate the polarization index
6. Turn off the power and disconnect after the measurement is completed
