Overview
American RDS 14 #1/2 "Mayer Rods is a professional film tool with a wet film thickness of 32 microns, an application width of 400mm, and a 5cm grip at each end. The coating applicator is suitable for flat substrates and easy-to-Curl convex substrates such as paper, foil, etc. Spreader a uniform wet-film. RDS offers 49 models from 2 to 95, covering different wet film thickness requirements.
Features
1. The wet film thickness is accurate to 32 microns
2. The application width is 400mm, and the operation range is wide
3. Design 5cm grips at both ends, comfortable to hold
4. Suitable for a variety of substrates, including easy-to-Curl paper and foil
5. 49 models are available to meet different thickness requirements
6. Made of stainless steel, strong durability
7. Wire-wound production process to ensure uniform Spreader
Principle
RDS Mayer Rods uses a wire-wound design to evenly scrape the coating on the substrate during the Spreader process to form a wet-film of a specific thickness. Its structure allows stable operation on flat or convex substrates, ensuring coating conformity.
Applications
Paper Spreader, Foil Spreader, Flat substrate Spreader, Curling substrate Spreader
Steps
1. Select the appropriate type of coating rod according to the required wet film thickness (such as 14 #corresponding to 32 microns)
2. Prepare Coatings and substrates to ensure that the substrate surface is clean
3. Hold the handle at both ends of the coating applicator and place the coating rod smoothly on the substrate
4. Pull the coating applicator at a uniform speed to form a wet-film
5. Clean the coating applicator after completion for next use
Notice
• Confirm that the coating rod model matches the required wet film thickness before use
• Maintain uniform speed during operation to avoid uneven coating
• Clean tools after Spreader to prevent Coating residue
Avoid collisions during storage and protect wire-wound structures
• For special substrates, it is recommended to test the Spreader effect first
