Overview
RDS #24 Mayer Rods is a wide-wound Applicator rod, model 24 #1/2 ", which can prepare 54.9 micron wet film thickness, Spreader effective width 30cm, each end has a 5cm hand-held part, and the total length is 400mm.
Features
1. Wire-wound design, precise control of wet film thickness by wire diameter
2. Made of 303 stainless steel, it is durable and not easy to break wires
3. Application width up to 300mm, suitable for large area Spreader applications
4. Design 50mm hand-held parts at both ends, easy to operate
Principle
RDS wire-wound Mayer Rods uses the height of the steel wire to control the wet film thickness formed during the Spreader by wrapping a steel wire of a specific diameter on a stainless steel rod. The diameter of the steel wire is 0.61mm, corresponding to the preparation of 54.9 micron wet-film.
Applications
Coating Spreaders, laboratory research, mass testing, surface preparation
Steps
1. Spreader Substrate and Coatings
2. Coating at one end of substrate
3. Hold both ends of the bar and pull the Spreader with even force and speed
4. Clean bar after Spreader
Notice
• Avoid bumping or falling and keep precision instruments in good condition
• Clean immediately after use to prevent Coating residue
• Keep it safe and prolong its service life
• Pay attention to uniform force during operation to ensure uniform film thickness
