Overview
RDS #30 Mayer Rods is a wire-wound Spreader tool with a film thickness of 68.6 microns. It offers three diameter specifications of 6.35mm, 9.5mm and 12.7mm, of which 9.5mm bar is widely used. The product has a rod length of 400mm and an effective width application of 300mm, which meets the requirements of many user experiments.
Features
1. Three diameter specifications (6.35mm, 9.5mm, 12.7mm) are available
2.Rod length 400mm, effective application width 300mm
3. Made of stainless steel
4. Accurate wet film thickness of 68.6 μm
5. Wire-wound production process
Principle
The wire rod coating applicator is designed by wire-wound, and the stainless steel wire is used to form a uniform wet-film coating on the surface of the substrate during the Spreader process. The diameter of the wire is 0.76mm, and the thickness of the Spreader can be precisely controlled to be 68.6 microns.
Applications
Coatings, inks, Building materials, Resins, Pigments, architectural coatings, Plastic films, Quality inspection organizations, Adhesives
Steps
1. Choose the right diameter bar
2. Spreader substrate
3. Coating evenly on one end of the substrate
4. Handheld coating applicator at both ends (hand width 50 + 50mm)
5. Spreader coating applicator at uniform speed
6. Observe whether the thickness of the formed wet film meets the requirements
