RDS No. 4 Mayer Rods is a High Accuracy, ultra-thin Spreader tool, model 4 #1/2 ", named Applicator rod 1/2". It can be prepared for 9.1 micron wet-film and is widely used in Coatings, inks, Building materials, Chemical Chemistry, Universities & Colleges, Research Institutions, Plastics, Machinery Manufacturing, and Biology.

Principle
RDS No. 4 Mayer Rods uses a wire-wound design to uniformly Spreader liquid material with a bar diameter of 0.10mm during the Spreader process to form a 9.1 micron wet-film. Users can select the appropriate Spreader parameters through the wet film thickness calculator or Solid content, Dry-Film and wet-film conversion formulas.

Steps
1. According to the target dry-film thickness, use the wet film thickness calculator or conversion formula to determine the required wet film thickness; 2. Select RDS No. 4 Mayer Rods to ensure that its wet film thickness is 9.1 microns; 3. Spreader the coating applicator evenly on the surface of the substrate; 4. Optional accessories can be added as needed.
