Principle

Mayer Rods form grooves by wrapping wires around the rod body. During the Spreader process, the Coating fills the grooves and forms a uniform wet-film coating on the surface of the substrate. Coating rods of different diameters have the same wet film thickness, but the Coating Weight will vary depending on the groove shape and the diameter of the main rod.
