Principle
The CTG-800Z Coating thickness gauge uses the magnetic Induction + eddy Current Measurement principle. The Fe function is used for the measurement of nonmagnetic Coating thickness on magnetic substrates such as steel and iron, including lacquers, powder coatings, plastics, porcelain, chromium, copper, zinc, etc. The NFe function is suitable for the measurement of insulation Coating thickness on nonmagnetic metal substrates such as aluminum, copper, brass or stainless steel, such as lacquers, plastics and porcelain.
Applications
Automotive, manufacturing, metal processing, chemical industry, commodity inspection
Standards
National, international
Steps
1. Choose Fe function (magnetic substrate) or NFe function (nonmagnetic substrate) according to measurement needs
2. Touch the Probe surface for measurement
3. Single measurement or Continuous Measurement mode
4. Switch display units (μm/mil) or galvanized Grammage units as needed
5. After use, you can choose to shut down manually or wait for automatic shutdown.
Notice
● Operating Environment Temperature should be in the range of -10-50 ℃
● Operating Environment Humidity should be less than 80%
● Pay attention to the minimum curvature radius requirements during measurement: magnetic substrate convex 1.5mm/concave 25mm, nonmagnetic substrate convex 3mm/concave 50mm
The thinnest substrate thickness is 0.3mm.
● Powered by 2 AA batteries
● Suitable for nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic substrates and insulating coatings on nonmagnetic substrates
