Overview
The DUBAN DB10-4222 Sound calibrator is a Handheld device designed for quickly and easily calibrating sound level meters and sound measurement systems. It features an ASIC for improved Stability and Reliability for field and laboratory use and for calibrating microphone Sensitivity.
Features
1. Provides 94dB and 114dB sound pressure level outputs, based on 20 µPa.
2. Output Sound Level Frequency 1000 + 0.1% Hz, Support A, B, C, D or Linear Frequency Weighting Correction.
3. Suitable for φ 12.7mm (1/2 inch) and φ 23.77mm (1 inch) microphones and acoustic measuring instruments calibrated.
4. Powered by 2 * 1.5V AAA battery, Operating temperature range -10~ + 50 ° C, Storage Temperature range -40~ + 65 ° C.
5. The temperature coefficient is 0 to 0.01 dB/° C, and the height effect is 0.1 dB lower for every 60 meters of increase in sound pressure from sea level.
6. Small size, 61x52x93mm, Net weight of about 200g, easy to carry.
Principle
The sound calibrator generates a stable 1000Hz sound signal through the internal application-specific integrated circuit, and outputs a sound pressure level of 94dB or 114dB, which is used to calibrate the Sensitivity of the microphone. It adopts a sound cavity and a microphone adapter structure to ensure that the sound pressure is accurately transmitted to the device under test.
Applications
Sound level meter calibrated, sound measurement system calibrated, microphone Sensitivity calibrated, field calibrated, laboratory calibrated
Standards
GB/T15173、IEC942
Steps
Open the battery cover and install a 2 * 1.5V AAA battery.
2. Align the microphone adapter cover to the microphone of the device to be calibrated.
3. Press the switch/function key to start the calibrator, and the indicator light is on to indicate that it is working normally.
4. Select 94dB or 114dB sound pressure level as needed to calibrate.
5. After the calibrating is completed, turn off the switch/function key.
Notice
• Operating temperature within -10~ + 50 ° C and storage temperature within -40~ + 65 ° C.
• Pay attention to the effect of altitude: for every 60 meters of increase from sea level, the sound pressure decreases by 0.1 dB.
• Only suitable for φ 12.7mm and φ 23.77mm microphones.
• Regularly check the battery power to avoid affecting the calibrating accuracy due to insufficient power.
• Turn off the power in time after use to extend Battery life.
