Overview
The KAIRDA KS131 Deep Groove Probe is a Sensor accessory designed for Roughness Gauge, which can measure grooves with a width of more than 3mm and a depth of less than 10mm or step surface roughness with a height of less than 10mm. It can also measure plane and cylinder. It needs to be used with the measurement platform.

Principle
KS131 Deep Groove Probe, as the Sensor of Roughness Gauge, detects the surface profile through the contact Measurement mode, converts the Mechanical displacement into an electrical signal, and transmits it to the host for data processing and analysis, so as to obtain the surface roughness parameters.

Steps
Connect the KS131 Deep Slot Probe to a compatible KAIRDA Roughness Gauge host
2. Install extension rods or adapter rods as required (optional)
3. Place the Probe on the surface to be tested (groove, step, plane or cylinder)
4. Start Roughness Gauge measurement
5. Read and record measurement results
Notice
• When measuring the groove, make sure that the groove width is greater than 3mm and the groove depth is less than 10mm
• The height of the measurement steps should be less than 10mm
• Plane and cylindrical measurements need to be used with the measurement platform
• Measurement range can be extended with extension rod as needed
• Transverse displacement measurement with adapter rod
