Overview
QTY-10A paint film bending tester is a cylindrical mandrel bending tester designed according to the requirements of GB6742 standard, which is mainly used for bending test of Paints, varnish and other coatings.
Features
1. The cylindrical mandrel is divided into eight different specifications with diameters of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm.
2. The bending form is a hinge connection.
3. The bending shaft is made of stainless steel.
The surface size is 200 x 58 x 14mm, and the structure is compact.
Principle
The tester with different diameters of cylindrical mandrel, the paint film coated on the test plate is bent to evaluate the cracking resistance of the paint film in a bent state or disbonding performance from the substrate.

Steps
1. Select the appropriate cylindrical mandrel diameter according to the test requirements.
2. Place the coated plate on the tester.
3. Operate the tester to bend the test plate around the cylindrical mandrel.
4. Observe and record the cracking or disbonding of the paint film.
Notice
• Please confirm that the tester and cylindrical mandrel are in good condition and nondestructive before use.
• Select the appropriate cylindrical mandrel diameter according to the test criteria.
• When operating, please ensure that the test plate is placed smoothly and the bending action is uniform.
• Clean the tester after the test and keep the equipment drying.
