Overview
HuiNuo QBB-50 paint Specific Gravity Cup is a special measuring instrument designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86 "Determination of Paints and varnish density". This product is used to accurately determine the density (specific gravity) of liquid Paints, varnishes and related products at specified temperatures.
Features
1. Designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB6750-86, the measurement specification is reliable.
2. The cup body is made of aluminum alloy, which is sturdy and durable.
3. The volume is 50ml, suitable for standard density determination.
4. Suitable for accurate measurement at specified temperatures such as 23 ° C.
Principle
The Specific Gravity Cup calculates the density of the sample at the test temperature by measuring the mass difference between the cup body of a known volume (50ml) when it is vacant and filled with the liquid to be tested, combined with the cup body volume, according to the density calculation formula (density = (cup and sample total mass - empty cup mass)/cup volume). To ensure accuracy, it needs to be operated under thermostatic conditions, and the cup body volume can be regularly calculated using distillation water.
Applications
Paints, varnishes and related products - Determination of density (specific gravity)
Standards
GB6750-86、GB3186-82
Steps
1. Clean the Specific Gravity Cup with no residual solvent after evaporation and dry it.
2. Weigh the mass of the Specific Gravity Cup (including the cover) at room temperature, and the difference between the two weighings should be less than or equal to 0.5mg.
3. Under the condition of not exceeding 1 ℃ below the test temperature, fill the cup with distillation water (to prevent bubbles), place it in a thermostatic environment to a constant temperature, dry the spill and the outside of the cup.
4. Immediately weigh the Specific Gravity Cup filled with distillation water to 0.001% of its mass.
5. Using the sample instead of distillation water has the repeability of the above steps 3 and 4.
6. Calculate the density of the sample at the test temperature according to the formula p1 = (m2-m0)/V.
Notice
• Specific Gravity Cups should be cleaned after use, put in a box, and stored at room temperature.
• If High Accuracy measurement is required, the test temperature should be kept within the range of +/- 0.5 ° C; production control can be kept within the range of +/- 2 ° C.
• When injecting liquid, it is necessary to strictly prevent bubbles.
• To maintain high Measurement accuracy, it is recommended to calculate the volume of the Specific Gravity Cup in stages according to the method provided.
