Overview
QHD-P pendulum damping tester is a professional test instrument designed and produced by JINGKELIAN according to ISO1522 and ZBN7 2020-86 standards, which is used to determine the paint film Hardness of Paints, varnish and other products. The instrument is equipped with Koenig pendulum and Platinum Saz pendulum with two different total mass pendulum bars, 200 +/- 0.2g and 500 +/- 0.1g respectively. The main structure includes instrument seat, pendulum, technical device and instrument cover.
Features
1. Equipped with two different total masses of the Koenig pendulum and the Platz pendulum
2, in line with ISO1522 and ZBN7 2020-86 standards
3. Accurate Determination of Film Hardness
4. Adopt a photoelectric timing system
5. Equipped with Organic Glass Protective Cover
Principle
The film Hardness is determined by the damping time of the damping of the swing when the swing rod touches the surface of the paint film. The softer the surface, the faster the swing decays, and vice versa. There is no conversion between the test results of the Koenig pendulum and the Platinum Saatz pendulum due to differences in structure, mass, size and period, because the interaction between the swing rod and the coating depends on the complex resilience and viscosity characteristics of the coating.
Applications
Paints, varnish and other related products - Determination of film Hardness
Standards
ISO1522、ZBN72020-86
Steps
1. Adjust the level of the instrument
2. Choose the right swing rod
3. Place test samples
4. Start the swing rod for testing
5. Record damping time through Timer
6. Read the test results
Notice
• The test results of the Koenig pendulum and the Platz pendulum with different structures cannot be converted to each other
• When measuring the damping time of a certain paint film in the product standard, only one swing rod is specified
• Ensure the level of the instrument before testing
• Check whether the photoelectric signal cable connection is normal before use
