Overview
QHD pendulum damping tester is a double pendulum hardness tester designed and produced by JINGKELIAN brand according to ISO1522 and ZBN7 2020-86 standards, which is used to determine the paint film Hardness of Paints, varnish and other related products. The instrument is equipped with two different total mass pendulum bars of Koenig pendulum and Platinum Saz pendulum, which are 200 +/- 0.2g and 500 +/- 0.1g respectively. The main structure includes instrument base, pendulum, technical device and instrument cover.

Principle
Film Hardness is determined by the damping time, expressed in seconds, of the damping of the swings on the paint film when the swinging rod touching the surface of the paint film swings at a certain period. The softer the surface, the faster the swings decay, and vice versa. There is no conversion relationship between the experimental results of the Koenig and Platz swings due to differences in structure, mass, size and period, because the interaction between the swinging rod and the coating also depends on the complex resilience and viscosity properties of the coating.

Steps
1. Install the plexiglass cover assembly
2. Adjust the level Adjust the foot to ensure the level of the instrument
3. Select the appropriate pendulum (Koenig pendulum or Platz pendulum)
4. Start the swing rod through the starting handle
5. Observe the swing change on the ruler
6. Use Timer to record damping time
7. Accurate measurement through photoelectric signal lines and photoelectric tube frames
8. Operate the pallet control handle and shutter cable to complete the test
Notice
• There is no conversion relationship between the test results of the Koenig and Platz swings
• When measuring the damping time of a certain paint film in the product standard, only one swing rod is specified
• Make sure the instrument is placed horizontally before testing
• Different swing bars are suitable for different test standards and requirements
