Overview
HT2916 is a Handheld multilayer Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge, using pulse reflection ultrasonic Measurement principle, professional for ceramics, plastics, Glass and other non-metallic substrate conductive ultrasonic surface coating thickness and the thickness of the substrate itself, can also be measured metal substrate surface coating thickness and the thickness of the metal substrate itself.
Features
1. Simultaneous measurement of multi-layer coatings or coatings + substrate thickness to meet complex testing requirements.
2. The instrument uses high-speed ADC data collection with resolution up to 1 μm.
3 high definition IPS color large screen design, easy to operate.
4. With gain automatic switching function, the appropriate gain can be automatically selected according to the material type and thickness.
5. Measurement range: 13~ 1000μm (epoxy resin coating), 300~ 14800μm (45 #steel).
6 measurement waveform display, movable waveform display area of the green cursor, view the rest of the waveform data.
7. With range setting function, it can effectively filtrate interference echoes.
8. It has the function of estimating thickness setting to improve the accuracy of the instrument for multiple coating measurements.
9. Three Speed of sound settings, flexible to adapt to various scenarios.
10. Ambient Temperature Compensation, Numerical stability, allowing long period calibrating.
Principle
The probe emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses, which enter the coating through the coupling agent. When encountering the coating interface of different densities, part of the ultrasonic wave will be reflected as a new ultrasonic pulse, and the other part will pass. The new ultrasonic pulse returns to the Probe and is received by the Sensor. The propagation time of the ultrasonic wave in the coating is obtained through instrument processing, and the Coating thickness is calculated.
Applications
Ceramic, Plastic, Glass and other Non-metallic substrate surface Coating thickness measurement, metal substrate surface Coating thickness measurement, substrate own thickness measurement
Standards
Measurement principle of ultrasound
Steps
1. Use a coupler to contact the Probe with the measurement surface.
2. The probe emits high-frequency ultrasonic pulses.
3. Ultrasonic waves propagate and reflect within the coating.
4. The reflected wave returns to the Probe and is received by the Sensor.
5. The instrument handles the propagation time and calculates the thickness.
Notice
• Ensure the use of coupling agents to improve Measurement accuracy.
Automatic selection of gain based on material type and thickness.
• Measurement range limitations to avoid exceeding instrument capacity.
• Regularly calibrate instruments to ensure numerical stability.
