Overview
The American RDS #7 wire-wound drawdown bar is a professional coating rod with a diameter of 3/8 inches, manufactured through wire winding or extrusion processes. It is specifically designed for the paint and ink industries to achieve a precise wet film thickness of 16 microns. As an original imported product from the United States, it benefits from 80 years of industry experience, with its craftsmanship and quality highly favored by users.
Features
1. Precise wet film thickness control, up to 16.0 microns.
2. Manufactured using a wire-wound production process to ensure high precision.
3. Made of stainless steel, durable and easy to clean.
4. Imported from the United States, ensuring reliable quality.
5. Developed based on 80 years of industry experience, with mature craftsmanship.
Principle
The coating rod forms a uniform linear structure by winding steel wires or through an extrusion process. When dragged over a substrate, the gaps between the steel wires precisely control the coating amount of paint or ink, achieving a wet film thickness of 16 micrometers and enabling standardized sample preparation.
Applications
Paints, inks
Steps
1. Prepare the coating or ink sample to be applied.
2. Place the coating rod at the starting end of the substrate.
3. Apply even pressure and smoothly drag the coating rod to the opposite end.
4. Remove the coating rod and inspect the uniformity of the coating.
5. Clean the coating rod for the next use.
Notice
• Ensure the coating rod and substrate surface are clean and dry before use.
• Maintain uniform speed and stable pressure while dragging, avoiding pauses.
• Clean promptly after coating to prevent residual coating from affecting accuracy.
• Avoid collisions or bending during storage to protect the wire-wound structure.
