Overview
HS-DO type digital display DO type rubber hardness gauge is suitable for Hardness measurement of medium Hardness rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, high density Spinning & weaving coils, especially recommended for hardness of materials > 90HC occasions. The hardness gauge supports handheld or matching fixed load test bench use, and can be connected to a computer through a special host computer software to realize data storage, analysis, export, query and printing functions. It is widely used in mass testing, physical experiments, engineering testing and other fields. This hardness gauge is implemented in accordance with the American ASTM D2240 standard and corresponds to the Type DO hardness gauge.
Features
1. LCD display, intuitive reading.
2. With real-time mode, Hardness value changes can be displayed in real time.
3. With peak mode, Hardness peak can be recorded during the test.
4. With automatic timing mode, the force holding time during the test can be set (such as 3 seconds for vulcanized rubber and 15 seconds for thermal plasticity rubber).
5. With average mode, the number of trials can be set.
6. Equipped with automatic shutdown function.
7. Equipped with dedicated host computer software, with a Chinese WINDOWS interface.
8. The host computer Software supports a variety of coordinate Linear dispersion display: real-time Hardness value - time, Hardness peak - times, Timed Hardness value - times.
9. The host computer software has a qualified judgment function, which can be automatically judged according to the preset Standard value range.
10. The PC Software supports the test data and Linear dispersion to be automatically stored in the computer, and the number of storage is unlimited.
11. Software support test data query, export to excel format.
12. The host computer software can prepare and print the test report according to the user's requirements.
Principle
The hardness gauge is based on the American ASTM D2240 standard and characterizes the Hardness of the material by measuring the depth of the pressure needle pressed into the material under the action of a specific test force. The instrument has a variety of Measurement modes (such as real-time, peak, timing, average) to adapt to the testing requirements of different materials, and realizes accurate data acquisition, processing and analysis through digital display and host computer software.
Applications
Mass inspection, physical experiment, engineering test
Standards
American ASTM D2240 standard
Steps
1. Choose a handheld or matching fixed-load test bench according to the material to be tested.
2. Power on and select the test mode as required (e.g. real-time, peak, timing, or average mode).
3. If using timing mode, set the corresponding force holding time (such as vulcanized rubber for 3 seconds, thermal plasticity rubber for 15 seconds).
4. Press the hardness gauge needle vertically into the surface of the tested sample.
5. Read the Hardness value displayed on the LCD screen, or wait for the instrument to automatically record the result after peak/timing.
6. If you need data management, you can connect the hardness gauge to the computer through the cable, and run the upper computer software for data storage, analysis, export, query or print reports.
Notice
* This hardness gauge is suitable for medium Hardness Rubber, Thermal plasticity resilience, High Density Spinning & weaving coils, hardness of materials > 90HC recommended.
Make sure that the stylus is applied vertically to the surface of the sample to obtain an accurate reading.
Correctly set the force hold time according to test standards (e.g. ASTM D2240) and material type.
Please check the battery level before use to ensure that the instrument is working properly.
* Equipped with fixed load test bench can improve test Repeatability and accuracy.
* Regularly calibrate instruments to ensure Measurement accuracy.
* Please refer to the specific software instructions for the operation of the host computer software.
