Overview
MS-C digital display C type rubber hardness gauge is an instrument produced by HBO for Hardness measurement of medium Hardness rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, medium Hardness plastic and thermal plasticity plastic, especially suitable for hardness of materials > 90 B < 20 D. The hardness gauge supports handheld use and can also be used with a fixed load test bench. It can be connected to a computer through a special host computer software to realize data storage, analysis, export, query and printing functions. It is widely used in mass testing, physical experiments, engineering testing and other fields.
Features
1. Using LCD display, the reading is intuitive.
2. With a variety of Measurement modes: real-time mode (real-time display Hardness value change), peak mode (record Hardness peak), automatic timing mode (can set the force holding time, such as 3 seconds or 15 seconds), average mode (can set the number of tests).
3. With automatic shutdown function.
4. Equipped with powerful Chinese WINDOWS host computer software, it supports a variety of coordinate Linear dispersion display (real-time Hardness value - time, Hardness peak - times, timing Hardness value - times).
5. Software supports qualified judgment (according to the preset Standard value range), automatic unlimited storage of test data and Linear dispersion, data query and export to Excel format, and preparation and printing of test reports according to user requirements.
Principle
This hardness gauge is implemented according to the American ASTM D2240 standard, corresponding to the Type C hardness gauge. It applies a specific pressure to the material to be tested, measures the depth of indentation or the amount of rebound of the indenter, and converts it into a Hardness value for display on the screen. With the host computer software, the measurement process can be controlled, recorded and analyzed.
Applications
Mass inspection, physical experiment, engineering test
Standards
American ASTM D2240
Steps
1. Choose handheld or matching fixed-load test bench according to measurement needs.
2. Power on and select the appropriate Measurement mode (such as real-time, peak, auto-chronograph or average mode).
3. If using the automatic timing mode, set the required force retention time.
4. Press the hardness gauge needle vertically to the surface of the tested sample.
5. Read the Hardness value displayed on the LCD screen or wait for the software to record the result.
6. If data management is required, data storage, analysis, export or report generation can be carried out through the cable host computer software.
Notice
• This instrument is suitable for medium Hardness rubber, thermal plasticity resilience, medium Hardness plastic and thermal plasticity plastic, hardness of materials > 90 B < 20 D recommended use.
• Ensure that the pin is vertically applied to the surface of the sample to obtain an accurate reading.
• Correctly set the force holding time of the automatic timing mode according to the material standard under test (e.g. vulcanized rubber or thermal plasticity rubber).
• When using the upper computer software, please ensure that the computer system is compatible.
• Pay attention to the battery power. It is recommended to remove the battery when not in use for a long time.
• The instrument should avoid violent vibration and impact and be stored in a drying environment.
