Overview
The TQC Specific Gravity Cup VF2100 model is used to determine the specific gravity of Coatings and other similar substances and is suitable for uninflated specimen density. This model is made of stainless steel and weighs 146g for durability.
Features
1. The upper cover has a small hole with a slope to the top center, so that excess sample material can be overflowed without bubbles, increasing accuracy
2. Available in 50ml and 100ml capacity options, materials include stainless steel and aluminum
3. Large cylindrical opening design, suitable for plastic density testing and paints, inks, Coating specific gravity testing
4. All models are provided with a calibrated certificate
Principle
Specific Gravity Cup calculates the liquid density by measuring the weight difference between the empty cup and the filled liquid cup, combined with the known volume. The formula is: density = (full cup weight - empty cup weight)/Specific Gravity Cup volume.
Applications
Plastic density test, paints specific gravity test, inks specific gravity test, Coating specific gravity test
Standards
ISO 2811、DIN 53 217、ASTM D 1475
Steps
1. Weigh out the clean drying Density Cup weight and record it
2. Maintain Density Cup and tested liquid in specific Temperature range (20 ° C +/- 0.5 ° C)
3. Inject Liquid into Specific Gravity Cups
Step 4 Cover the lid smoothly
5. Avoid creating bubbles
6. Carefully wipe the spilled liquid with an absorbent cloth
7. Weigh the weight of the Specific Gravity Cup filled with liquid
8. Calculation density: density = (full cup weight g - empty cup weight g)/Specific Gravity Cup volume ml
Notice
• The test needs to be carried out at 20 ℃ +/- 0.5 ℃ environment
• Avoid bubbles during operation
• Use an absorbent cloth to carefully wipe the spilled liquid
