Principle
Cross Hatch Cutter measures the film adhesion to the substrate by uniformly drawing a grid of certain Dimensions and evaluating the integrity of the film in the grid. It is mainly used for the determination of adhesion by the Coating cross-cut method, which is not only suitable for laboratories, but also for construction sites under various conditions.

Steps
1. Prepare the hard substrate to ensure that the film thickness is in the range of 0 to 60 µm.
2. Use Cross Hatch Cutter to evenly draw a grid pattern on the surface of the test piece.
3. Observe and evaluate the integrity of the film in the grid.
4. Determine the adhesion of the film to the substrate according to the evaluation results.
Notice
• For hard substrate specimens only, film thickness must not exceed 60 µm.
• Check whether the cutter teeth are in good condition before use to ensure cutting accuracy.
• Maintain uniform force during operation to avoid uneven scratches affecting the evaluation results.
