Overview
The OSP-18/60 coating rod is a manual Spreader tool produced by the Japanese OSP brand for intermediate coating of 18 micron thick wet-film coatings in the laboratory. The coating rod is often used to detect the hiding power and color of coatings and perform levelling sag experiments, providing superb workmanship and superior mass to ensure good Spreader effect.
Features
18 micron accurate wet film thickness Spreader
Optional L60, L250, L400 three lengths to meet different experimental needs
3. Made of 304 stainless steel, with strong durability
4. Production process formed to ensure uniform Spreader
5. Appropriate coating rods can be selected according to experimental requirements to avoid cost waste
Principle
The OSP coating rod is uniformly Spreader Coating on the surface of the substrate through the formed process to form a wet-film coating of a specific thickness. Manual operation during use makes the Coating form a uniform film between the coating rod and the substrate, which is convenient for subsequent performance tests such as hiding power, color and levelling sag.
Applications
Laboratory hiding power test, color test, levelling sag test
Steps
1. Select the appropriate coating rod length according to the experimental requirements
2. Coating evenly on the substrate
3. Spreader the substrate surface with the appropriate force and speed using the coating rod
4. Formation of 18 micron thick uniform wet-film coatings
5. Follow-up performance testing and analysis
Notice
* Choose the appropriate coating rod length according to the experimental needs to avoid unnecessary costs
* After use, the coating rod should be cleaned in time to keep its surface clean
* Pay attention to uniform force during operation to ensure consistent thickness of Spreader
* Storage should avoid collision and corrosion, keep the coating rod intact
