Principle
Mattel MT192 is based on the ultrasonic Measurement principle. It emits ultrasonic waves through the Probe and receives the retracted wave. It uses the propagation time of the sound wave in the material to calculate the thickness. In the transmit-echo mode, the measurement of the total time of ultrasonic waves from transmission to reception; in the echo-echo mode, only the internal echo of the material is measured, which can penetrate the coating without counting its thickness. Measurement accuracy is optimized by calibrate and sound speed backmeasurement functions for a variety of materials.

Steps
1. Turn on the instrument and select the thickness measurement mode (transmit-echo or echo-echo).
2. Probe zero point calibrating or two point calibrating to correct errors
3. Coupling the Probe to the surface of the workpiece under test to ensure good contact
4. Measured value, instrument Display resolution optional 0.1mm or 0.01mm
5. If you need to measure the Speed of sound, enter the known thickness value to calibrate
6. Use the USB interface to connect to the PC for data exchange and storage management
7. Switch unit format (metric or imperial) and display mode (single point, maximum or difference) as needed
Notice
• Operating Temperature range is -20 ℃~ + 50 ℃, storage temperature is -30 ℃~ + 70 ℃, avoid using beyond the range
• Operating Relative Humidity should be ≤ 90% to prevent humid environment from affecting instrument performance
• Ensure that the Probe is fully coupled to the workpiece surface before use for accurate Measured value
• Regularly calibrate Probes to maintain Measurement accuracy
• In a dim environment with dark rays of light, the EL backlight display can be turned on, but note that the power saving function will automatically sleep or shut down
• Replace the battery in time when the battery is low to avoid measurement interruption
Protect the instrument from strong vibration, Impact or electromagnetic interference to protect internal components
When storing measurement data, pay attention to a maximum of 100 values per group, with a total capacity of 20 groups to prevent data loss
When connecting to a PC for data printing and analysis, ensure that the USB interface is stable
