Overview
PUSHEN KTQ-II/25202 Micrometer Film Applicator adjusts the drawdown blade gap by adjusting the differentiator to control the film thickness, suitable for completely flat plane Spreaders. The film range is 0~ 3500 microns, the application width is 100mm, and the adjustment accuracy is +/- 2μm.
Features
1. Coatings with extended edges can be folded during the film process
2. Can be used to manually Spreader high concentration or high viscosity Coating inks on solid flat substrates
3, the film range of 0~ 3500 microns, there are a variety of film width to choose from
4. By adjusting the gap, the need for various fixed gap coating applicators can be reduced
Principle
By adjusting the differential on the coating applicator to adjust the drawdown blade control gap, i.e. film thickness, to achieve accurate wet-film Spreader.
Steps
Place the Micrometer Film Applicator on a completely flat Testing substrate surface and adjust the drawdown blade to the desired clearance (should be twice the desired wet film thickness).
2) In the front section of the film knife, pour a small amount of test sample between the end plates at a slow and uniform speed of about 1~ 2cm/s
Move the coating applicator over the substrate surface until the liquid is fully coated and any remaining liquid has been removed from the end of the film path
4) When coating, the wet film thickness gauge can be used for measurement and the gap can be adjusted until the desired wet film thickness is reached
Notice
• The exact ratio of wet film thickness to any film knife gap depends on the material used, the viscosity and texture of the liquid the force exerted on the film knife, the film speed and the geometry of the film edge
• Wash with appropriate solvent immediately after use
Both ends of the drawdown blade move in the slot, which needs to be kept free of sample material at all times
• Differentiators occasionally need to be repositioned to correct for abrasion or misalignment. Corrected differentiators can be adjusted by loosening (not removing) the hidden set screws on each differentiator to lower or raise the components
