Overview
The PUSHEN KTQ-II/25203 Micrometer Film Applicator is a manual Spreader tool with a film width of 150mm. It is suitable for Spreader specific Film thickness wet-films on solid flat substrates, especially for high concentration and high viscosity paint inks. Its extended edge design helps to retract the paint during the film process, reducing waste and saving costs, while providing good abrasion resistance.
Features
1. The film width is 150mm, suitable for flat substrates.
2. Adjustable design, Spreader specific Film thickness wet-film.
3. Suitable for manual Spreader high concentration and high viscosity paint inks.
4. The extended edge design can close the paint, reducing waste and saving costs.
5. Good wear resistance.
Principle
The Micrometer Film Applicator controls the wet film thickness by adjusting the gap between the drawdown blade and the substrate. In use, the test sample is poured over the front section of the film knife, and then the film applicator is moved at a uniform speed to spread the paint on the substrate to form a wet-film. The actual film thickness of the wet-film can be measured by the wet film thickness gauge, and the drawdown blade gap can be adjusted as needed to achieve the target Film thickness.
Applications
Suitable for Spreader paints, inks and other fields on solid flat substrates.
Standards
The data did not mention specific compliance criteria.
Steps
1. Place the film applicator on a flat Testing substrate surface and adjust the drawdown blade to the desired gap (approximately twice the desired wet film thickness).
2. Slowly and evenly pour a small amount of test sample between the front section of the film cutter and the end plate.
3. Move the film applicator until the paint is fully coated and remove the remaining paint at the end of the film path.
4. Use the wet film thickness gauge to measure the actual coated wet film thickness and adjust the gap until the desired Film thickness is reached.
Notice
* The ratio of wet film thickness to film clearance is affected by material, liquid viscosity, applied force, film speed and film edge geometry.
* Clean and dry film applicator with appropriate solvent immediately after use.
* Grooves moved at both ends of the drawdown blade should always be kept free of test sample material.
* The differentiator needs to be repositioned occasionally to correct for abrasion or misalignment, and the component height can be adjusted by loosening (not removing) the two hidden fixing screws.
