Overview
Defelsko PosiTector 6000 FNTS3 Coating thickness gauge is an advanced dual-use film thickness gauge for measurement of thick coatings. Measurement range 0~ 6000 microns. It can automatically identify the type of magnetic or nonmagnetic substrate. It is suitable for nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic substrates and nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic substrates. The instrument is equipped with STDP1 correction standard plate and wear-resistant split Probe, with a measurement diameter of 30mm.

Principle
Measurement principles of magnetic Induction and eddy Current are used to automatically identify the substrate type. For nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic substrates, the principle of magnetic Induction is used; for nonconductive coatings on nonmagnetic substrates, the principle of eddy Current is used. The instrument measures Coating thickness through Probe and automatically processes the data.
Applications
Iron metal substrate nonmagnetic coating environment, non-ferrous metal substrate (such as aluminum and copper) nonconductive coating environment
Standards
ISO 2178、ISO 2360、ISO 2808、PrEN ISO 19840、ASTM B499、ASTM D1186、ASTM D1400、ASTM D7091、ASTM E376、ASTM G12、BS3900-C5、SSPC-PA2
Steps
1. Install 3 * AAA alkaline battery
2. Connecting Split Probes
3. Use STDP1 calibration standard plate to calibrate
4. Place the Probe on the surface of the coating to be tested
5. The instrument automatically recognizes the substrate type and measures the thickness
6. View measurement results and statistics with Touchscreen
7. Use USB or Bluetooth to transfer data to the supporting software
Notice
• Only suitable for nonmagnetic coatings of ferrous metal substrates or nonconductive coating environments of non-ferrous metal substrates
• Use STDP1 standard board to calibrate before measurement
• Probe split, need to connect correctly
Avoid use in extreme environments
• Regularly check the battery level to ensure normal measurement
• The data storage capacity is 250,000 Measured values, pay attention to exporting data in time
