Overview
The Defelsko FRS Thickness Gauge Probe is a mobile built-in 90 ° F Probe designed for film thickness measurement on ferrous metal substrates such as steel, iron, etc. Measurement range from 0 to 1500 μm for nonmagnetic coating platings on magnetic substrates.
Features
1. Adopt 90 Degree Measurement Angles for easy operation.
2. Measurement range is wide, covering 0 to 1500 μm.
3. High accuracy, the error is +/- (1 μm + 1%) when 0 to 50 μm, and +/- (2 μm + 1%) when greater than 50 μm.
4. Probe is compact in size, with a length of 28mm, a width of 50mm, and a diameter of 16mm, making it easy to carry and use.
Principle
Probe based on the principle of magnetic Induction, by detecting changes in magnetic properties between the magnetic substrate and the nonmagnetic coating platings measurement film thickness.
Applications
Nonmagnetic platings on magnetic substrates such as steel, such as paints, plastics, enamels, chromium, zinc, etc.
Steps
1. Place the Probe vertically on the tested surface.
2. Make sure the Measurement Angles is 90 degrees.
3. Start the device for measurement.
4. Read and record film thickness data.
Notice
• Only for ferrous metal substrates, not for nonmagnetic substrates.
• Probe should be kept perpendicular to the surface during measurement, and angular deviation may affect the accuracy.
• Avoid use in strong magnetic field environments to prevent interference with measurement results.
• Regularly calibrate Probes to ensure measurement accuracy.
