GB/T 42917-2023
Polyvinyl chloride resin for matt products

This standard specifies the technical specifications for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins specifically used in the production of products with a matte (low-gloss) surface effect. It applies to resins produced by the suspension copolymerization of vinyl chloride monomers with cross-linking agents. The standard provides a unified classification system, performance indicators, and comprehensive testing and inspection methods for such products with special optical performance requirements. Since the matte effect is closely related to the microstructure of the resin, in addition to conventional PVC resin testing items, the testing instruments covered by this standard may be relatively extensive. According to the general requirements of similar product standards, key tests may include: using a gas chromatograph to analyze residual vinyl chloride monomers and other volatile substances; employing Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to verify the copolymer structure; and utilizing a photoelectric haze meter or related optical testing equipment to evaluate the surface gloss or haze of products after resin molding, which is a core step in assessing the matte performance.
