Test method for adhesion to substrate of ink with tape

GB/T 13217.7-2023 "Test Method for Adhesion of Inks" is applicable to the determination of adhesion of various inks on substrates such as plastic films, aluminum foils, tinplate, and paper. It specifies four test methods: the disk peeling method, manual peeling method, circle scratching method, and cross-cut method. Corresponding methods can be selected for offset printing inks, gravure inks, etc., while tinplate printing inks are suitable for the circle scratching method or cross-cut method. The tests must be conducted under conditions of temperature 23±2°C and relative humidity 65±5%. The standard clarifies the preparation requirements for printed samples and the placement time for inks with different drying types before testing. Adhesion is evaluated by calculating the proportion of remaining ink film grids.
