GB/T 19608.1-2022 "Classification of Special Environmental Conditions - Part 1: Dry Heat" was released in July 2022 and implemented in February 2023, replacing the 2004 edition. This standard specifies environmental parameters and severity classification under dry heat conditions, applicable to products stored, transported, handled, and used in arid regions. It adopts a three-dimensional coding system for classification, covering various conditions such as climate, chemically active substances, and mechanical environments. New parameters including wind speed, frozen soil, chlorine, and ozone have been added, while the classification descriptions from the original appendix have been integrated into the main text. The standard provides a unified basis for environmental adaptability design, selection, and quality control of products in fields such as electrical and electronic equipment and energy. It is also applicable to related products in dry heat regions such as Central Asia and the Middle East.
