GB/T 4798.2-2021 "Classification of environmental conditions - Classification of groups of environmental parameters and their severities - Part 2: Transportation and handling" replaces the previous edition. It is identical to the international standard and unifies the classification of environmental conditions and the grading of severity levels for product transportation and handling processes. The standard covers mainstream transportation modes such as road, rail, water, and air, as well as various forms of handling. It clearly defines the classification levels for five major categories of parameters: climatic, biological, chemically active substances, mechanically active substances, and mechanical environments. Applicable to both packaged and unpackaged products, it provides a basis for product design, packaging protection, and the formulation of transportation plans. This helps eliminate trade barriers and ensures the safety and integrity of products during transportation.
