GB/T 26703-2021 applies to shoe heel top pieces for general wear and specifies two test methods for wear resistance: the rotating cylinder method (Method A) and the reciprocating method (Method B). The standard clearly defines requirements for sample preparation, environmental conditioning, and result evaluation. Method A requires equipment such as a rotating cylinder abrasion tester, a balance with an accuracy of 1 mg, and a shoe heel top piece grinding machine, with wear measured by calculating mass loss. Method B employs a reciprocating abrasion tester equipped with a spiked friction hammer and a thickness gauge with a division value of 0.01 mm. Loads are applied according to the grade of the heel top piece's contact area with the ground, and performance is evaluated based on thickness loss. These two methods are respectively suited for laboratory quantification and simulation of actual working conditions.
