Test method for rabbit hair - Part 7: Whiteness

This standard is one of the series of test methods for rabbit hair fibers, used to quantitatively evaluate the whiteness of rabbit hair, which is a key indicator affecting its textile value and appearance quality. The standard specifies the use of a whiteness meter for testing. During measurement, the instrument emits a standard light source (typically blue light of a specific wavelength) onto a conditioned and evenly prepared rabbit hair sample, and receives its reflected light. By comparing the data with a known standard white tile, the whiteness value is calculated. To ensure the accuracy and comparability of the results, the standard provides detailed regulations on the pre-treatment environment of the sample, instrument calibration, and operational procedures.
